The Coat of Arms is contained with a border in the distinct shape of ‘M’. The ‘M’ is for Mary and Mother, being that Mary is the Mother of the church and that we are her children.
The inclusion of a more definite cross than the subtle background, identifies a Christian environment. Although not centered, it is the first identifiable icon of the coat of arms.
Our parish is known for its shrine and devotion to the Miraculous Medal. This is a definite symbol of the St. Mary’s Community.
The image of Mary with outstretched arms is one of embracing comfort and welcoming, the image and attitude we strive to achieve within the parish.
The name of the parish contained within a scroll is to symbolize our involvement with both spiritual and scholastic education.
