Welcome to St.Mary's Parish Website

Announcements – July 1 & 2

In January this year, 6 statues of the Immaculate Heart of Mary were blessed by Pope Francis. After the blessing, one International Centennial Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima was taken to each continent to visit parishes and dioceses in every country. Locally, we are very blessed for the pilgrimage to stop in our parish on Saturday, July 8 from 4:00-9:00pm. St. Mary’s Parish will be consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima during this visit. Please MARK your calendars for this momentous occasion!

There is no Spark event for grades 6-8 youth this Monday, July 3rd. The next one is on July 10th.

Are you a high school student wanting to have a blast this summer?? Then, Camp FLAME is for you! Join this annual retreat on August 25-27 in Camp Capilano. This year’s retreat is entitled, ‘Called by Name’ and invites teens to open up and respond to God’s call in their lives. Cost is $70 per person and financial assistance is available. For info, please contact our Parish Youth Ministry Office. Registration is extended until July 15th. Forms are available in the Youth Ministry bulletin board.

Are you an adult who would like to join the Catholic Church? Perhaps you are a baptized Catholic, but lack the Sacrament of First Communion or Confirmation. Maybe you have been a Catholic your whole life and would just like to understand more about your faith. Welcome to St. Mary’s Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program! We start in mid-September and are taking registrations now. Do not miss this life-changing opportunity. If interested, please contact the Parish Office.

A BIG thank you to all the parishioners and parish ministries and school community for your generous support and participation in the School Raffle. Congratulations to the five LUCKY WINNERS: Kimberly Kaye Alfeche, Richelle Tuiza, Bambi Leda, Jasmin Alvano, and Vincent Tam. Details are posted in the church foyer.

This is a kindly reminder for families to fill out the MagnifiKid evaluation forms. Please drop them off at the “MagnifiKid Evaluation Box” located on your right as you enter the church foyer from outside. We hope this trial run went well and we hope to find ways to get our children engage during Sunday Mass.

Save the date! The parish-wide farewell get-together for Fr. Pierre is on August 19 from noon onwards. More details to come.
