Dear Parishioners and friends,

This is the last Pastor’s Corner for this year as we break for Christmas holidays and thus is the last time, I, as your Pastor, write a message to you in the year 2023. First of all, I wish you a very happy and blessed Christmas. May the Child Jesus bring lot of joy and blessings to your families and our parish community. May, also, the coming year usher in newness and blessings, free of all pains and sufferings.

With the help of God, we have walked a long way, and achieved many milestones in the year 2023. We have celebrated gratefully the blessings God has graciously showered upon us in the past one hundred years. Today we stand at a very important intersection of the life of St. Mary’s, and we have many plans and projects in mind and in the making. Let us offer them to the Lord and ask for His guidance.

Let us come before the Babe in the manger with grateful hearts for providing us with scores of generous volunteers who make this parish a beautiful family and a welcome place, to the kind-hearted and generous donors who sacrifice their needs to support the parish, dedicated bunch of staff who go beyond the call of their duty, both in the parish office and at our school, and holy and friendly priests who are not just ready but enthusiastic to respond to the spiritual needs of the parish community and beyond. In all, we are truly blessed and are ever grateful to God and to one another.

A word of sincere appreciation to you all for achieving our Project Advance goal of CAD120,000. This amount will be used by our beloved Archbishop for the many outreach projects of the archdiocese. May God reward you a hundred times over for your generosity.

Let us strive to be the ‘light of the world’ and ‘salt of the earth’ as Jesus wants us to be.

“There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”
Edith Wharton

Let us dedicate at least some part of our time for the good of others and the parish. Let us respond generously to serve others through many Ministries that are functioning in the parish.

I wish you all a very happy and blessed Christmas and a new year with lot of blessings and peace!
