What is PPPG?

St. Mary’s Padre Pio Prayer Group (PPPG) is affiliated with the International Padre Pio Prayer Group in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, founded by Saint Padre Pio himself.  We belong to 3,000 prayer groups worldwide and the first and only PPPG here in BC.  As an intercessory prayer group, we continue the work that St. Padre Pio started years ago to help souls to meet Christ.  Under the guidance of our Spiritual Director, we pray as intercessors for the Church’s salvific mission through her Sacraments and ministries, especially the Confession Ministry.

What do you?

We meet each month on either online via zoom or in-person at St. Mary’s Parish. Our meetings serve to get to know Saint Padre Pio, and how the Holy Spirit continues to work through this stigmatized saint, in the PPPG catechetical presentations. We are also blessed that our PPPG Spiritual Director, Father David Bellusci, joins us often to help deepen our knowledge of the Scriptures, growing in our life of faith, and doing what is good and pleasing to God (1 John 3:32).

An invitation to sanctify!

Saint Padre Pio said; “Let us remember that the heart of Jesus has called us not only for our own sanctification but also for other souls. He wants us to be the helpers in the salvation of souls.” God calls each of us to grow in faith and live by charity. You can be an intercessor or a volunteer. Come and join us!
